Privacy
Mission Planner processes mission files, recorded flights, calculations and exports in your browser. It does not upload these files to a mission storage service.
Local storage
Your active workspace, saved mission snapshots and aircraft profiles are stored on this device using browser storage. They include waypoint coordinates and aircraft settings. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to read them. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the local copies. Export a workspace file if you want a backup.
Maps and imagery
The map requests imagery, terrain and 3D tiles from your selected provider, including swisstopo, Cesium ion, Google or Bing. Requests expose your IP address and the geographic tiles being viewed to those providers. Provider access tokens intended for browser use may accompany those requests. Their own privacy terms apply.
Private reviews
Review copies are encrypted on your device using a password. The encrypted content is placed in a link fragment or downloaded as a file. Link fragments are not included in ordinary HTTP requests to our hosting service. The recipient decrypts the copy locally. Anyone with both the encrypted copy and password can open it. There is no server-side expiry or revocation service.
Analytics and feedback
The workspace does not load analytics or session-replay scripts. If you submit feedback, your optional name, email address and message are sent to our feedback service and delivered by email through AWS SES in eu-west-1. Do not include private mission data unless you intend to send it. Hosting and map providers may keep operational request logs.
